This rear house extension project completely reimagines a tired semi‑detached home, turning an underused garden area into generous new living space. The works began with full demolition of the old lean‑to and patios, careful excavation and new foundations designed to support a large steel frame. Heavy structural steels were craned into position to open up the back of the house, creating a wide-span opening ready for future glazing and an open‑plan layout. At the same time, scaffolding to the front and roof allowed us to construct a new dormer and carefully integrate the loft conversion into the existing structure.

A new insulated flat roof and high‑performance build‑up ensure the extension is warm, dry and energy efficient all year round. To the front, a crisp rendered porch with contemporary black door and lighting upgrades the kerb appeal and gives the property a modern entrance.
